Mother

Marie, 42, is a mother of three and works as a designer. Despite her lifelong career in design, she now feels outdated compared to younger and more advanced workers, leaving her struggling to keep up.

As a mom, Marie prioritizes her children, aged 12, 10, and 6. Her husband, Paul, earns nearly double her salary as an attorney, but his demanding job means Marie takes on most of the childcare and household duties. When their third child was born, Marie reduced her work capacity to 80% and received less pay to accommodate.

Marie finds herself lonely, with no hobbies or purpose. Her days repeat endlessly, she feels uninspired at her job, and she struggles as a bitter mother and wife.
