Origin

Dailu is a 41-year-old Chinese woman. She left Hainan, China at age 12, sent by her parents to live with her aunt in Taipei for a better future. At 21, she migrated to Miami with a few others for work. Later, at age 28, she moved to Oslo to work in a shipping and logistics company. Rarely seeing her family, she feels increasingly disconnected from them. Despite this, she sends money home out of filial duty.

In Oslo, Dailu was married for 5 years and is now divorced. She shares custody of her 3-year-old son. Dailu wishes to leave Oslo but can't due to her son. She experiences an identity crisis, having forgotten who she is and why she is here. All she has been is someone who tries to be someone else.
